About Brass Pipes and Tubes
Brass pipes and tubes are hollow sections specified by outside diameter and wall thickness (or inside diameter). They are used where a part must be hollow, lighter than solid bar, or carry a fluid, cable or rod through its centre.
Fabricators use brass tube for railings, furniture frames, lamp and fixture bodies, curtain rods, musical and decorative items, and short machined sleeves and spacers. Plumbing and fitting manufacturers also work with brass tube for connectors and adaptors.
What to include in your enquiry
Send the outside diameter, the wall thickness or inside diameter, the length and the quantity. Round tube is most common; if you need square or rectangular hollow sections, mention that too.
Our weight calculator accepts either inside diameter or wall thickness, so you can estimate the weight of your order before you ask for a quote.

Brass Pipes and Tubes: questions and answers
Should I give the inside diameter or wall thickness?
Either works. Give the outside diameter plus one of them. Mention which one you are giving so the size is clear.
Do you have square brass tube?
Ask us with the outside size and wall thickness. Availability of square and rectangular sections is confirmed per enquiry.
Can the weight calculator handle pipes?
Yes. Choose "Round pipe / tube" and enter the outside diameter with either the inside diameter or wall thickness.
Is brass tube suitable for outdoor railings?
Brass resists corrosion well but will tarnish outdoors unless lacquered or polished regularly. Tell us the application and we can discuss options.
