About Brass Rods
Brass rods are solid round bars used as raw stock for turned and machined parts. Workshops cut them into blanks and turn them into fittings, nuts, bushes, pins, valve parts, electrical terminals and decorative hardware.
Brass is popular for this work because it cuts cleanly, gives a good surface finish and resists tarnish and corrosion in many indoor and plumbing applications. Its colour also makes it a natural choice where parts remain visible.
Choosing brass rod for your job
When you ask for a quotation, the most useful details are the diameter, the length you want (full length or cut pieces), the quantity or total weight, and the work the rod is for. If you need a particular alloy or temper, mention it so we can confirm what can be supplied.
To plan an order by weight, enter the diameter and length in our metal weight calculator. It gives the theoretical weight, which you can send to us with your enquiry.
